Girls Weekend!!

September 18, 2012

This past weekend I had a relaxing spa weekend with three lovely ladies.

While the spa was quite wonderful, the best part was definitely the treats!!

As usual, I went a little over the top…

It started out simple enough, just a basic Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is great and all, but it needed more excitement…

How about a layer of Peanut Butter Brownie? Sounds most excellent!

What’s that you’re saying? You want more? Well who am I to turn you down!

After the Cookie and Brownie layers were baked, I added a delicious caramel layer!

Yes, I know, to the untrained eye it looks identical to the Peanut Butter Brownie layer. But I assure you, it’s not!

As a finishing touch I added chopped up pieces of Reece’s cups, just to, you know, spice it up a bit.

Heaven as far as the eye can see!

They’re so dense and chewy and chocolatey and caramely and peanut buttery. Yum.

I’m usually not a huge fan of peanut butter in treats (I’m a purist – CHOCOLATE all the way, perhaps a dash of caramel here and there) but I loved it in these bars!!

In case not everyone was a Peanut Butter fan I decided to make another treat! Plus, after a day of sitting around doing nothing at the spa, we were bound to work up an appetite!!

I decided I wanted to do something S’more themed, as I love S’mores. But since they don’t exactly travel well, I had to get creative!

I decided to go with a Golden Grahams S’more bar! I mixed Golden Grahams cereal into melted marshmallows and pressed them in a pan.

Then I covered the entire thing with six (SIX!) Hershey’s chocolate bars!

The final step was to cover the chocolate with mini marshmallows, and broil the whole thing until the chocolate had melted slightly and the marshmallows were toasted.

These little guys were unbelievably good, and so easy – dangerously easy – to make!

I fear I will be making these a whole lot in the near future…

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend as well!
