Inglewood Market Week 6 – Prep Cont’d

August 3, 2011

Mmmm I love the cupcakes I’m making this week!! They’re all so fun!

I finished icing all of the Honey-Vanilla Cupcakes, and used up a looottt of sprinkles in the process!

Next I iced my Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes.

You can’t tell from the photo, but these cupcakes are MASSIVE! And you can see some of the cookie dough peeking out! Yum.
I sprinkled big chocolate chips on top of the icing to make them even more delicious!

Last I put together the Boston Cream Pie Cupcakes.

It took a long time to get everything together, but I’m really happy with how they turned out. They’re really yummy!

I decided to use a denser vanilla batter to support the filling, because I put a lot of filling in! It worked out well, but I imagine the cupcakes would taste better with a less dense cupcake… I think I’ll have to work on it a little more and find a happy medium.

So I’ve decided to forgo the savoury cupcakes this time. I iced one and gave it a try, but it just wasn’t for me. I’m sure there are lots of people out there who would enjoy the flavour, but not me! And I don’t think I should be selling things I don’t actually like…

Customer: Ooh are these savoury cupcakes good??
Me: No.
Customer: …

Yep, don’t think that would go over so well.

I think I’ll stick with sweet cupcakes for now 🙂

Don’t let the icky weather get you down, I hope to see everyone out at the Market today! Inglewood General Store, 3:30-7pm!

Hey Cosi, the Boston Cream Pie was great, but I looked like Thomas when I was finished! The Honey Vanilla was my favorite from this weeks batch! See ya next week 🙂
