Well, today is the day! I’m off to Paris!!

But first, I had to make a birthday cake for a 14-year-old girl’s birthday. And it had to be cute.

Everyone likes cupcakes. So what is better than a cupcake? A GIANT cupcake!!

For this cake I tried out the new fondant recipe. As promised, it tasted MUCH better than the fondant I’m used to eating. But, also as promised, it was pretty difficult to work with. It didn’t hold as well as other fondants, and it cracked extremely easily. Hopefully it’ll harden up a bit more and stay attached to the cake all nice and pretty!

But with a fluffy french vanilla inside and tons and tons of icing on the outside, it sure will be tasty.
